Following its season premiere on the CW, “Arrow” came to New York Comic Con 2012 ready to show off with a panel on the final day of the show. Featuring series stars Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen), Katie Cassidy (Laurel Lance) and Willa Holland (Thea Queen) along with producer Marc Guggenheim took the stage in a packed theater for a special video presentation and question and answer session with the audience looking back at last week’s pilot and forward to the rest of the first season.
DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns took the stage clad in a Green Lantern hat and Dr. Pepper shirt and introduced the panel, starting with Marc Guggenheim.
“Instead of talking about [what I’m excited about], why don’t we show some stuff?” asked Guggenheim. A clip began playing with Stephen Amell saying “My father left me a list of names,” and detailing his reason for becoming a vigilante. Clips were shown of Oliver’s time on the island, a sneak peek of John Barrowman’s character. Plus an interaction with Laurel Lance and Amell’s Arrow character. The first footage of Deathstroke also appeared, alone girth a fight between Arrow and China White, Deadshot attempting to assassinate someone and a number of quick cuts with a ton of action. “Every last one of them will wish I had died on that island,” Amell, as Arrow, said at the end of the clip.
Cassidy, Holland and Amell joined Guggenheim on stage following the clip and Johns kicked things off asking Guggenheim about comic book influence.
“Obviously, Andrew [Kreisberg] and I write comic books. We approach each episode as fans,” he said. “‘Longbow Hunters’ and ‘Year One’ are huge influences on our take.” Guggenheim further described the approach as “Nolan”-esque.
Amell spoke briefly about his time training for archery on the show. The actor watched a 45 minute video on all the ways archery had been done poorly on film and television before even picking up a bow. “The archery world has a term — it’s called Legolasing,” he said. “I didn’t want to Legolas.”
Holland commented on the fact that she was called “Speedy” in the pilot and said she was ready to pick up the bow.
Cassidy said her experience playing Laurel Lance as “awesome.

The CW/WB unveiled a new trailer for Arrow at the New York Comic-Con and god dame dose it look good. There are lots of new clips of Katie from the next four episode. Arrow looks to be great better and better.
The CW has released three episode stills from Arrow – 1×04 – An Innocent Man!, At this time we only have them in MQ but I hope that by tomorrow I will get the HQ ones till then you can check them out in the gallery.

ARROW RECRUITS LAUREL TO HELP WITH A CASE — Oliver (Stephen Amell) still hasn’t figured out how to get back in Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) good graces, but a late night bonding session with Thea (Willa Holland) gives him the inspiration he needs. Looking into a suspicious murder case, Oliver realizes an innocent man, Peter Declan (guest star Lane Edwards), was framed by one of the targets on his list. As Arrow, he asks Laurel to help prove Declan’s innocence. Meanwhile, Walter (guest star Colin Salmon) asks one of his employees, Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Rickards), to look into a $2.6 million withdrawal that Moira (Susanna Thompson) made without his knowledge. David Ramsey and Paul Blackthorne also star. Vince Misiano directed the episode written by Moira Kirland & Lana Cho

Bloody Disgusting has learned that John Suits’ The Scribbler will be promoted at this weekend’s New York Comic-Con.
Taking place Friday, October 12 from 7:45-8:45pm, the panel presentation (at Jacob Javits Center, Hall 1A2 655 West 34 Street, NY, NY 1000) will be hosted by stars Katie Cassidy (“Arrow”) and Gina Gershon (Killer Joe), Director John Suits, and Producer Gabriel Cowan, where they’ll unveil the film’s first teaser trailer.
“‘The Scribbler’, based on the graphic novel, concerns Suki (Cassidy), a young woman confronting her destructive mental illness using “The Siamese Burn”, an experimental machine designed to eliminate multiple personalities. The closer Suki comes to being “cured”, she’s haunted by a thought… what if the last unwanted identity turns out to be her?“

Brenda H.: OMG. Obsessed with Arrow already!!! The pilot was fantastic. I love Katie Cassidy and want her with him. Will I get my wish?
Not for a while! Katie herself tells us that the past (of Oliver/Arrow cheating on her with her sister) is not something her character will easily get over. “I have two sisters and if that happened to me I would be like, ‘No, no. I don’t want to see you ever because I might kill you!!’ Yeah, but I do think they will play around with that. I think…You can’t help who you love and I think he is the love of her life. I think she tries to forgive and she tries to see the best in everyone, even him. I do feel like there will be this sort of Dawson-Joey kind of aspect to it.” PS. Katie also admits she was a big Dawson’s fan and loves the fact that (former Dawson’s boss) Greg Berlanti is heading up her new show.
What a day for Katie news first Arrow and now Katie is back on Gossip Girl as Juliet Sharp for its last season. The last time we saw Juliet was back in season four after she when after Serena then left but the door was open for her to come back, I would think Katie would only have a small part to play this season with Arrow still filming. More info when we get it but till then I have 004 on set candids of Kaite for you all.

On the CW, Arrow’s debut pulled in a 1.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.02 million viewers, making it the network’s best premiere since The Vampire Diaries and the most-watched telecast in three years. It actually tied NBC’s showing for the hour in the demo and total viewers, a rare feat. At 9 p.m., without debate competition, Supernatural’s second episode was up to a 1.0 rating. The network averaged a very solid 1.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers.

It’s here at last the premiere of Katie’s new show Arrow on the CW and Wow, what an episode! The entire cast and not to mention the crew! really brought there A game for it and the fights just amazing.
