KELLY HU GUEST STARS AS DC COMICS VILLAIN CHINA WHITE — Oliver (Stephen Amell) heads to the courthouse to get his death certificate repealed and is pleasantly surprised to run into Laurel (Katie Cassidy), who is there prosecuting Martin Somers (guest star Ty Olsson), a criminal with ties to the Chinese Triad. Oliver recognizes Martin’s name from his father’s book and sets his sights on taking him down. Martin orders the Triad to “take care of” Laurel so they send their top mercenary – China White (Hu) – after her, an act that culminates in a battle between Arrow and China White. Meanwhile, Moira (Susanna Thompson) and Walter (guest star Colin Salmon) ask Oliver to take over the company. Colin Donnell, Willa Holland, David Ramsey and Paul Blackthorne also star. David Barrett directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim and written by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim (102).

After a fun stint on Gossip Girl, actress Katie Cassidy is back on our must-watch list with her new CW show, Arrow. We caught up with the star, who was recently named the face of Lady Foot Locker, to get the low-down on her favorite ways to stay fit and her keep-’em-forever pair of sneakers.

What drew you to partner with Lady Foot Locker?
“I teamed up with Lady Foot Locker because they are very supportive of women living a healthy lifestyle. I try to be the best that I can be, and I believe that all women should. I think it’s important that as women, we feel sexy, confident and beautiful.”

Tell us a little bit about H.E.L.P. Malawi. How is Lady Foot Locker involved in supporting this organization?
“H.E.L.P. Malawi stands for hope, educate, love and protect. The organization provides children with the tools they need to survive. I’ve always felt that it was important to give back. When I heard about this charity, I was very interested and even had a chance to go to Africa to meet the children. After being there and spending time with them, I wanted to do anything I possibly could to help them.”

Do you have a favorite “I’ll never throw them out” pair of sneakers?
“Yes! My Chucks (Converse). The older they get, the better they are!

What are your favorite ways to stay fit?
“I prefer to do a little bit of everything. Running, yoga and occasionally weights are my favorite.”

Tell us a little bit about your role in Arrow. What can we look forward to for the first season?
“Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was presumed dead after five years. He returns home to Starling City to face the loved ones he left behind. Not everyone is so thrilled to see him. My character, Laurel Lance, being one of them. Oliver secretly creates the persona of Arrow, striving to save Starling City. Laurel is a lawyer who is doing the same, but through justice. The two are star-crossed lovers awaiting their fate.”

Warner Television released their schedule for New York Comic Con earlier today, including a number of Arrow-themed events centering around the DC Entertainment TV property.

At 11 a.m. on Sunday October 14th, Arrow will have a special video presentation and Q&A in the IGN Theatre, followed by a cast signing at the DC Entertainment booth at 12:30.

Stars Stephen Amell, Willa Holland and Katie Cassidy will be in attendance for the events.
