The executive producer of Gossip Girl has suggested that Nate will change in the new season.
Speaking to E! Online, Stephanie Savage explained that Nate’s new love interest Juliet (Katie Cassidy) will have a big impact on him.

“I think the appearance of Juliet in his life is going to force Nate to make some choices and take a stand on some things,” she said. “We’re also going to revisit some season one issues for Nate, going back to those very early episodes related to his family.”
