Trivia & Facts

• Katie Cassidy and Stephen Huzar meet and started dating on the set.
• Both Stephen and Katie appeared in Supernatural.
• The Hôtel de Glace in Quebec, Canada is the Ice Castle in this movie.
• The movie was filmed in March to released in July and not December.

Goofs

• When the prince receives a text message just after delivering his Christmas speech, the date/time stamp on the message reads March 12, 6:47 PM – the phone clock at the top of the screen reads 3:13 AM
• When Sigrid (Kathryn Hohut) discusses ancient monarchs, she states that one thing she despises about monarchies is they behead their wives. She uses Marie Antoinette as an example for her argument. However, King Louis XVI didn’t behead his queen, the two were imprisoned during the French Revolution and both were executed by guillotine.
• While Prince Henry and Sigrid are walking through the woods, sap is being collected from maple trees. Sap runs in the early spring (March), not in December, when the movie is set.
• Stephen Huszar is 40 years old, yet the actors playing his parents look like contemporaries to the actor. Pip Dwyer (The Queen) doesn’t list her birthday, but looks to be similarly aged to Huszar and Simon Phillips (The King), who is listed as aged 44, a mere 4 years Huszar’s senior.
