Katie’s new movie that she filmed back in 2016 Cover Versions as you all should no was at long last released on digital yesterday for the world and I got hold on my copy today. The movie stars Katie as Jackie the leader of the band StarFoxy and co-stars Drake Bell, Jerry Trainor, Austin Swift, Debby Ryan, Ashley Argota and Jenn An and is set round the death of Debby’s character and the four story’s the band gives for the night. After watching the movie I can say Katie and the full cast did well and will keep you guessing who did what and who is telling the truth as nothing will match at first. You can now rent or buy Cover Versions from Itunes , Amazon , Google Play , Vudu , DirecTv and Youtube and there is talk of a DVD release in the future but no world on a Blu-ray one at this time. HD screen captures are now up in the gallery for you all, enjoy!

“Cover Versions” Premiere

On monday night Katie and Matthew were in attendance for the world premiere of Katie’s new movie Cover Versions at the Landmark Regent LA, Joining her was some of her co-stars from the movie Jerry Trainor, Debby Ryan and Austin Swift. Katie had on a “legalized marijuana” sweater to endorses it for all. Over 50 HQ photos from the event are now up in the gallery and Cover Versions screen caps are coming very soon like tonight or tomorrow soon so keep looking back for them.

‘Cover Versions’ Premieres Video For ‘Castles’

Axs Get ready to meet Starfoxy. While you likely won’t be seeing this band touring the country together any time soon, you will be able to catch them on screen, in the upcoming film, “Cover Versions.” Fronted by TV darling Katie Cassidy, the group Starfoxy also includes Drake Bell (‘Drake & Josh’), Jerry Trainor (‘iCarly’) and Austin Swift (‘Live by Night’).

Cassidy and Swift, both coming from a musical family (daughter of David Cassidy and brother to Taylor Swift) are perfectly cast, along with Bell and Trainor. In the film, their breakout hit, “Castles,” lands them a gig playing at one of the biggest festivals in the world, leading to a night filled with music and murder.

“Castles” has an electronic rock-vibe that is mysterious as much as it is pop-friendly. Cassidy leads with some strong vocals, lending to the band’s Phantogram type of appeal.

First off as you can all see I’m at last back from my time in Chicago, When I was away the full trailer for the first of movies Katie did back 2016 Cover Versions hit the web. Katie play’s Jackie who is the leader of the band and co-stars Drake Bell, Austin Swift, Jerry Trainor, Debby Ryan and more in Todd Berger murder mystery. The other news we have is that the movie will at long last be released on digital platforms on April 10th, there is still no word on if it will get a Blu-Ray/DVD release at this time but I’m hoping that some time in May it could get one. I will do my best to get hold on a copy to screen capture for the site when it dose come’s out in April but till then we will just have to keep watching the trailer to get our fix and hope that in the months to come we will get some news on Katie’s other movie she did back in 2016 Grace.

Cover Versions Update

Katie’s new movie Cover Versions had it’s world premiere screening at the 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Wednesday Unfortunately Katie her self was not there but the director Todd Berger was to promote the movie, He was on the KESQ News Channel 3 and in that interview they played a little clip from the movie and we got our first look official at Katie in it. You can watch on the video below it starts at 1.09. And on top of that we now have the first look at the poster from the movie its very LQ for now but I hope in the coming week’s we should get a HQ one and maybe a trailer?

Cover Versions Heading To The 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival

Katie’s new movie that she filmed last year Cover Versions is heading to the 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Wednesday the 3rd of January 2018 at 4.30 playing in the Camelot Theatres. You can buy tickets for $12 for members and $13 for General Admission. It is at this time unclear if Katie will be in attendance at the event but if or when we do known I will add more info to the site then.

Sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll are all par for the course at synth-rock band Starfoxy’s house party, but when murder is added to the set list, the differing bandmates must give the greatest performance of their lives if they want to stay out of jail.

Cleverly infusing Kurosawa’s Rashomon into the world of indie rock, filmmaker Todd Berger’s Cover Versions is a hilarious romp following the hazy, contradictory accounts of Starfoxy’s members. Frontwoman and de facto bandleader Jackie is adamant that no partying should occur on the eve of their biggest festival gig ever, but she faces opposition from the young, arrogant member-for-hire Kirk. When one of Kirk’s invited “groupies” winds up dead in the pool, Jackie immediately places the blame on the drunken Lothario. Yet Berger wisely keeps the truth close to his chest as he reveals the alternative perspectives and wildly different personalities of each band member, building up to an applause-worthy encore.

Sony Pictures Acquires Worldwide Rights To ‘Cover Versions’

Sony Pictures has just acquired worldwide rights to the murder mystery feature Cover Versions from Lakeshore Entertainment’s Off the Dock. Written and directed by Todd Berger, the film, which stars Katie Cassidy, Drake Bell, Austin Swift, Jerry Trainor and Debby Ryan, is about four band members who tell varying accounts of a night of sex, drugs, and murder before their first big show at a popular music festival. The film was produced by Marc Reid and Mark Korshak. The film just wrapped principal photography.

Off The Dock’s most recent production, Internet Famous, landed at the top of the iTunes charts before moving to worldwide distribution on Netflix. Berger previously wrote and directed It’s a Disaster distributed by Oscilliscope Pictures. He also wrote the upcoming STX film The Happytime Murders.

On the acting side, Cassidy is known for her starring role on the CW’s Arrow; Bell recently appeared on the Fox series Grandfathered; Swift had his feature film debut working with Pierce Brosnan in the thriller I.T. and recently wrapped Live By Night for Warner Bros. and Ben Affleck; Trainor can currently be seen on CMT’s Still the King, and Ryan is currently in production on New Line Cinema’s Life of the Party.
