Got to start by saying called it, Last night was the winter finale for Arrow and we have a great little surprise right at the end with Laurel being in the arrow cave, Now the big question is… is this Earth 1 Laurel that some how came back thanks to flashpoint or is this Earth 2 Laurel coming back to do some no good, We will not find out till Arrow is back in the new year with at this time we known Katie will be in episode 10 and 11. A part two trailer should be out some time in January so I hope to see more of Laurel then. HD screencaps from last night’s all new episode of Arrow “5×08 – Invasion!” have been added to the gallery! Well last night was the 100th episode of Arrow and as we all known Katie was back for it and I have to say I did love the episode and how Katie was used in it for a change, it was nice to see her being used in the main part of the story and just great to see her again the other thing I do wish would have happened was when Oliver turned around and looking back at Laurel she would have been dressed up as Black Canary, that would have just made it all. Stephen just post a message on his official facebook about tonight’s 100th episode of Arrow and it in he talk’s a little about Katie.
As it pertains to tonight’s episode there are three people that really warrant mentioning. Katie Cassidy coming back to play an integral role in our episode while filming a movie in Boston is a testament to her work ethic and her integrity both personally and professionally. She’s magnificent tonight and it was so much fun to run it back with her
It’s the Monday after Thanksgiving and you know what that means (aside from the fact that you need to break out your stretchy pants). That’s right, it’s Cyber Monday – i.e., the day when, if you’re smart, you can knock all of your holiday shopping off in one fell swoop. During the Arrow 100th Episode Celebration, IGN spoke with some members from the cast plus show creators about the big episode plus what was their favorite Arrow from the show so far. You can read Katie’s parts bellow!
What it Feels Like to Hit Episode 100
Katie Cassidy (“Laurel Lance/Black Canary”): It’s been a really long journey but a really wonderful one. It’s been a growing process and a learning process. We’ve been lucky and I appreciate every second of it. Especially for me and my character, I think the writers wrote really well for me and gave me a lot to do and a lot to play with. I’ve been constantly challenged.
Favorite Arrow Memories
Katie Cassidy: The scene in Season 2 when Laurel puts the Black Canary jacket on for the first time, obviously. And I feel like the overall arc for me and my character has been so well written and again, they gave me somewhere to go and something I could really sink my teeth into. I just think, overall I’m really happy about it. There’s a moment in Season 3 where my character, she’s gone through so much, and finally her and Felicity have a moment together and Emily [Bett Rickards] is one of my best friends and I just remember us together on screen and connecting as actors. It was just a nice, beautiful moment. And I feel like it lifted me up.
Katie is on the cover of the Winter issue of Venice Magazine and we’ve added to the gallery scans, plus one outtake from the photoshoot. Hopefully more will get released as Katie looks absolutely beautiful!
A little late but are girl turned 30th two day’s ago as like last year she is in spending her birthday in Maui with family and friends including Tommy, her sister, Colton and Emily Bett. There have been posting some photos and videos from there time there.
And I would like to wish Katie a very happy late birthday from both me and the site and hope the next year is full of joy for her.
First sorry these are late up it has been a crazy week for me with both my mom’s and dad’s bday but at last I can get round to things. Last weekend Katie made a new covention this time for Heroes & Villains Fan Fest Atlanta with her Arrow co-stars Stephen Amell, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne, David Ramsey, Charlotte Ross and John Barrowman. Katie was there for both days of the con with day one being fan photos, autos and the Arrow panel and day two being fan photos and autos. You can watch the panel video below with some of the information that was told during the panel
– Katie Cassidy spoke about how Laurel would feel regarding the friendship between Lance and Thea, “Laurel would approve of the father-daughter relationship Quentin and Thea have. They can take care of each other.”
– The cast was asked about there favourite moments of this current season and Katie said “she can’t answer because she contractually can’t, saying, “Have I been there yet?” and Holland says, “She’s had some moments.”
– The cast reveal who their dream sidekick would be. Kaite said “The Green Arrow.”
– Katie said her favorite super hero is Catwoman.”
– Katie said she could do the salmon ladder.
