LAUREL STEPS IN TO HELP OLIVER — Slabside becomes even more dangerous after a guard is murdered and everyone is a suspect. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) enlists help from a surprising source in her pursuit of Diaz (Kirk Acevedo), and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) flexes her muscles as the District Attorney.

Like her husband, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) pulls out all the stops to get to Diaz. Meanwhile, when arsonists target Rene’s (Rick Gonzalez) community center, injuring Zoe (guest star Eliza Faria) in the process, the mysterious new Green Arrow swoops in to help save the day. Faced with pressure from the mayor to capture the vigilante, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) must decide if following the rules at all costs is the best plan to keep the city safe

Over the weekend on Saturday (October 27th) Katie made a stop in LA for the convention LA Comic Con, She did a panel that you can watch below, photoshoots with the fans and autos with the fans. It was nice to see Katie out and about again at one of these and it looks like she had a great time.

Arrow was back on last night with 7×02 – The Longbow Hunters and thank god after last week this time Katie had a bigger part to play in the episode, Laurel got to play with Dinah Drake this episode and I have to say I love the two of them working off each other Sassy, funny, ass kicking double Canary cry’s but the bit that had me was the end when Laurel said sorry for killing her love Katie kill it there so I hope we get to see more from them both as the season go’s on. The wait is over at last Arrow was back last night for it’s seventh season and that picks up 5 months after the end of season 6 and we see now that laurel is the new DA of Star City (some how) and is still pretending to be Earth 1 Laurel and doing a great job at is as she looks and sounds the same the only bad news is Katie only had one little part in the episode but the episode as a whole was great and I can not wait to see were they go with the ending. CURTIS GOES UNDERCOVER FOR ARGUS — Still in prison, Oliver (Stephen Amell) faces his biggest challenge yet. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) gets an intriguing offer, and Diggle (David Ramsey) asks Curtis (Echo Kellum) to go undercover for ARGUS.

Metro – While many Boston-based films tend to focus on the rougher aspects of the city, Grace, a new indie movie starring Katie Cassidy and Tate Donovan, gives viewers a peek at different side of the Hub.

Directed by Bay State native Devin Adair, Grace recently made its U.S. premiere at the Boston Film Festival earlier this fall. The small budget flick forgoes the gangster-filled mayhem of blockbusters like The Departed or The Town, and instead tells the story of an acclaimed author named Charlie Ellison (Donovan) who gets his world turned upside down when his agent (Matthew Lillard) sends him a feisty new assistant named Dawn (Cassidy). Insatiable actress Debby Ryan also stars in Grace.

According to Donovan, Charlie is a “crazy genius writer” who comes from “old, east coast money,” but has become a recluse over the years and is traumatized by his strict, abusive upbringing. Hailing from the other side of the tracks, the scrappy Dawn is working through her own issues as well and dreams of becoming an author, eventually finding a mentor of sorts in Charlie. Meanwhile, Donovan’s character is inspired by Dawn to write a new novel, which will hopefully clear up his financial woes.

Adair, who first came up with the story while attending high school at Phillips Academy Andover, was overjoyed to get the chance to film Grace in the Boston area, as well as premiere the film in her hometown. The first-time director notes that the story is an “homage to all the young women who really wanted to be recognized for their talent and the struggle that is for young women today.”

“It is the weirdest destiny thing to have shot this movie in Boston and now to premiere it in Boston,” says Adair. “It’s the most special thing that could happen.”

Both Donovan and Cassidy were thrilled to get the chance to shoot in and around the Hub, although the filming process was a bit harder on the Arrow star. Cassidy had to balance working on the hit CW superhero series with Grace, often flying back and forth between sets in Vancouver and Boston.

“I was literally not sleeping, kind of a mess, but it actually worked. I don’t know how,” admits Cassidy. “I think it worked for the character. I’m surprised I didn’t look 20,000 times worse than I felt because it was a lot of work. But it was worth it for me.”

Despite the many sleepless nights, Cassidy loved the story of Grace, as it portrays a hard-working, no nonsense woman who’s just trying to get her foot in the door.

“She just doesn’t give a f—k,” says Cassidy. “She just wants to have her voice be heard.”

“[Charlie] heard her and he allowed her to have a voice,” she adds. “With this movie, I love that Charlie gives her that. He gives her a voice and listens to her. I think as a woman, sometimes that can be frustrating. We don’t feel heard.”

LOCKED UP — Following Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) shocking decision to turn himself over to the FBI and reveal his identity as the Green Arrow to the public, Oliver has spent the past five months in Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Determined to keep a low profile to shorten his sentence for the sake of his family, Oliver is tested when he runs into old foes. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) have taken on new jobs and left their costumes behind but not everyone is following suit. With her focus on William (guest star Jack Moore), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) tries to start over but when someone from her past resurfaces, things become complicated.
