Planet Comic-Con Kansas City

Written by owner on August 26 2021

As I sais in my last update that Katie was at a new comic-con last weekend (August 20-23) for Planet Comic-Con Kansas City it just took me a long time to get photos from it and some days are still missing parts. Katie was there with both her Arrow co-star stephen amell who she did a photoshoot with and her Supernatural co-stars Rob Benedict, Kim Rhodes, Emily Swallow, Samantha Smith & Felicia Day who Katie did a panel with on the Saturday. Again Katie had on a mask and screens to cut her of from people and I wish she would take the mask of in the panels but its she is comfortable with at this time but I hate the photoshoots they just look awkward as hell and thank god the uk cons are not doing them. Photos from all three days are up in the gallery right now and you can watch the panel below

First I just want to say sorry for net getting these up before but the site had to move servers over the week as one of my other sites just got to big and took it down and it all got fixed yesterday now on with the update. Last weekend Katie made her first event and in person appearance of 2021 at the Megacon Orlando Comic-Con. She was there for the Friday and Saturday with doing autos, photoshoots and a panel (only on the Friday). Katie was joined by two of her Arrow co-stars john barrowman and stephen amell who did a amazing photo with Katie. Because of what is still going on in the world right now Katie did have a mask on for most of the event or screens to cut her of from people but it still looks like everybody made the best of it all and had a good time. Katie is at this point at a comic-con so as soon as updates come out for that I will make a post.

Katie Cassidy is moving on from superheroes and ready for the next thing — digital art and cryptocurrency

Written by owner on May 31 2021

insider – Katie Cassidy is delving into the world of NFTs with ME.SHE.WE., a series of digital portraits. The former “Arrow” star spoke with Insider about her cancelled spin-off and her new ventures. In addition to her NFT, she’s exploring her creator side behind the camera with multiple projects.

Though many fans of The CW’s superhero universe may have been devastated earlier this year when the network chose not to pick up a proposed all-female “Arrow” spin-off, titled “Green Arrow and the Canaries,” at least one person wasn’t: leading lady Katie Cassidy.

Across the series’ eight-season run (and in several episodes of its spin-offs “The Flash and “Legends of Tomorrow”), Cassidy played two different versions of the popular DC comics character Laurel Lance, otherwise known as the Black Canary, and was slated to star in the spin-off alongside Katherine McNamara and Juliana Harkavy.

But, to hear Cassidy tell it, the decision to ground the Canaries is likely the best choice for all involved.

“I’m actually okay with it not going,” Cassidy told Insider in a wide-ranging phone conversation in April. “That whole show was such a blessing. Not only for myself but for everyone involved. I loved it. It was a wonderful experience. I really feel as though we have… [we] really milked it.”

And after eight years, Cassidy says she’s ready to “do something fresh.”

Cassidy’s life recently has been marked by change. But between filing for divorce in January 2020, the final episode of “Arrow” airing later that same month, and the onslaught of a global pandemic that saw everyone adjust to life in lockdown, the actress has done her best to use these setbacks to push herself in a new direction — just probably not one her fans expected.

The confluence of these events prompted Cassidy to not only engage in an extended period of self-reflection, but to dive into the emerging world of NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and her newfound interest in cryptocurrency gave rise to an unexpected passion project.

The actress has just released her first NFT drop, a series titled ME.SHE.WE., in which she explores herself, the persona she presents to her fans, and the way those two identities intersect. A set of gorgeous digital portraits, the series mixes cotton canvas, black and white paint, and the human body to create something striking, dramatic, and wholly original.

Vision Films Acquires Danny A. Abeckaser’s ‘I Love Us

Written by owner on May 29 2021

One of Katie’s new movie’s has found a home with Vision Film, I hope we will see more info on it soon and a date.

deadline – Vision Film has acquired rights to I Love Us, a romantic drama from Danny A. Abeckaser’s 2B Films. Abeckaser stars with Jackie Cruz, Katie Cassidy, Harlow Jane, David James Elliott, Robert Davi, Jasper Polish, Greg Finley, James Madio, David James Elliott, Elya Baskin and Courtney Lopez in the ensemble, which wrapped production at the end of March after a shoot in Los Angeles. It will get a 10-city theatrical run along with VOD in September.

In the script by Kosta Kondilopoulos, a seasoned thief (Abeckaser) trades in his criminal ways for a “normal” married life after falling in love with a single mother (Cassidy) that catches him off guard. But when tragedy strikes, he’s forced to take one last job to pay off old debts and keep his new family together, creating conflict all around him.

Abeckaser (directing credits: Mob Town, Blackjack: The Jackie Ryan Story, First We Take Brooklyn) also produced with Wild7Films’ Kyle Stefanski and Mike Hermosa, and Above the Clouds’ Jeff Hoffman. Executive producers are Katie Cassidy, Ron Rofe, Isaac Gindi, Eddie Gindi and Gustavo Nascimento.

“I Love Us was such a passion project and a labor of love. I felt the movie deserved to be with a company that really believes and loves the movie like I do. Lisa Romanoff at Vision was the right person for this journey for myself as director along with producers Kyle Stefanski, Mike Hermosa and Jeff Hoffman. We are excited for people to see it.”

How Katie Cassidy Is Selling NFT Art to Encourage Female Empowerment, Self-Love, Acceptance

Written by owner on May 09 2021

Through professional and personal life changes, actor Katie Cassidy (daughter of David Cassidy) has focused on self-love and an NFT drop to encourage female empowerment.

Katie Cassidy is best known for her work in film and television. Most recently, for her portrayal of the iconic comic book character, Laurel Lance/Black Canary, on The CW’s long-running hit series “Arrow” (2012-2020).

Upon ending the show (November 2019) and her two short years of marriage (Jan 2020), the world shut down due to the Coronavirus pandemic, giving Katie the time and space to look inward and focus on herself. Over the course of the last 12 months, Katie has spent the time learning how to love herself (ME), explore the persona she presents to her fans and audience (SHE), and get to know how the two come together to form (WE). Hence the title of her NFT drop and portrait series “ME. SHE. WE.”

Always fascinated with technology, cryptocurrency, and newly emerging NFT’s, Katie decided to bring her idea of ME. SHE. WE. to life with a series of digital portraits, carving out a whole new genre of art with a cotton canvas, black and white paint, and the human body as her medium (shot by The Riker Brothers). Excited about this new venture, Katie is dedicated to using this new platform to encourage female empowerment, self-love, acceptance, and has pledged a portion of the proceeds to benefit The Rape Foundation, Women’s Global Empowerment Fund, and LifeWay Network.

In this episode, you’ll learn:
* Going straight to work vs attending college.
* Video games and why they’re a part of Katie’s characters on set.
* How Katie got into Cryptocurrencies and became one of the first celebrities to drop an NFT.

Murtz Jaffer Interviews Katie Cassidy about NFTs

A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to catch up with Katie Cassidy. The actress has always been a favourite of mine and we have chatted several times before about her work on both Melrose and Arrow. Recently, Katie has been at the forefront of the NFT movement launching the first celebrity non-fungible token and has set the path that almost everyone in entertainment has since followed. In our latest interview, we discuss her ‘Me.She.We’ series as Katie educates me on what an NFT is. We also discuss our mutual connection to the Riker Brothers who served as the photographers of her shoot and how I knew them from their participation on the Amazing Race.
