About this time last year, we made a call. If you were around and reading instead of just looking at the pictures (maybe 25% of you….?), we dubbed satin bomber jackets your Spring must-buy.
We hate to say we told you so, but, you know. We did.
And as much as we aren’t ones to jump in on trends just because they are trends, this is one we can firmly get behind. Kind of like the flat mule thing, we’ve gone hard in on this one.
Thanks to the proliferation of thinly padded MA1 bomber-style jackets on the runways, this now seasonless jacket is all of the things. And if you really want to do the trend right, make yours embroidered or patched. Embellishment is most definitely the way to go here.
We’ve even got a whole New Years look imagined around this sequined one…
While there are a multitude of colorways available (this burgundy one has our number), our ultimate favorite is still the army green interpretation. So if you haven’t gone in for the original, now’s the time. Call it the Top Gun effect, but something about the whole fighter pilot look has us feeling the need for speed. The more patches the better.

My life over the last six months has been nothing short of a whirlwind.
A couple of countries, a multitude of cities, several productions, innumerable red-eyes and multiple time zones. Add to that portraying a dozen crazy characters and my 30th birthday… And there you have it. The past six months.
I did happen to squeeze in ten minutes to shoot for TKC, while still in costume in Boston. Luckily, “Dawn” was the epitome of Tomboy herself! Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes.

Arrow “5×09 – What We Leave Behind” Screen Captures

Got to start by saying called it, Last night was the winter finale for Arrow and we have a great little surprise right at the end with Laurel being in the arrow cave, Now the big question is… is this Earth 1 Laurel that some how came back thanks to flashpoint or is this Earth 2 Laurel coming back to do some no good, We will not find out till Arrow is back in the new year with at this time we known Katie will be in episode 10 and 11. A part two trailer should be out some time in January so I hope to see more of Laurel then. HD screencaps from last night’s all new episode of Arrow “5×08 – Invasion!” have been added to the gallery! Arrow “5×08 – Invasion!” Screen Captures

Well last night was the 100th episode of Arrow and as we all known Katie was back for it and I have to say I did love the episode and how Katie was used in it for a change, it was nice to see her being used in the main part of the story and just great to see her again the other thing I do wish would have happened was when Oliver turned around and looking back at Laurel she would have been dressed up as Black Canary, that would have just made it all. That’s right, it’s Cyber Monday – i.e., the day when, if you’re smart, you can knock all of your holiday shopping off in one fell swoop. What it Feels Like to Hit Episode 100
Katie Cassidy (“Laurel Lance/Black Canary”): It’s been a really long journey but a really wonderful one. It’s been a growing process and a learning process. We’ve been lucky and I appreciate every second of it. Especially for me and my character, I think the writers wrote really well for me and gave me a lot to do and a lot to play with. I’ve been constantly challenged.
Favorite Arrow Memories
Katie Cassidy: The scene in Season 2 when Laurel puts the Black Canary jacket on for the first time, obviously. And I feel like the overall arc for me and my character has been so well written and again, they gave me somewhere to go and something I could really sink my teeth into. I just think, overall I’m really happy about it. There’s a moment in Season 3 where my character, she’s gone through so much, and finally her and Felicity have a moment together and Emily [Bett Rickards] is one of my best friends and I just remember us together on screen and connecting as actors. It was just a nice, beautiful moment. And I feel like it lifted me up.
