Katie's tattoo in the middle of her back is a phrase written across wings, and says Alis Volat Propiis. It's Latin and translates to She Flies By Her Own Wings. Katie chose the phrase because despite her family ties (her father, David Cassidy, was a successful pop icon in the 1970's), she is making her own way in life using her own talent.

The three stars on Katie's foot represent her and her two sisters, Jaime and Jenna. Her sisters also have the tattoo. Their mom also has one.

Written around Katie's ankle on her other leg is Love Thyself, Know Thyself, Be Thyself.

Katie also has 1922 on her hip. It was her first tattoo and 1922 is the year her maternal Grandmother was born.
